University of Wisconsin–Madison

The TA Training and Support Team is part of the Teaching, Learning, & Academic Planning unit within the College of Letters & Science.

Mission

The TA Training & Support Team is dedicated to serving Graduate Student Assistants within L&S. We seek to empower all L&S Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Lecturer Student Assistants (LSAs) to flourish by providing continuous training and support. We help TAs and LSAs acquire knowledge, skills, and confidence to cultivate engaging, inclusive environments where all students (and teachers!) can thrive as they navigate the challenges and joys of learning. We value TAs and LSAs as whole persons and are dedicated to developing excellent, effective, and empathetic teachers strengthened by sustainable teaching practices.
